The Red Velvet Curtain Cult offers a platform to artists to show work within a supportive, professional environment. We embrace work that is playful, macabre, surreal, ridiculous, absurd, beautiful, un-nerving, misaligned and unusual to present theatrical evenings that immerse the viewer in an interactive experience.
We are currently planning our next event, to be held at the De La Warr Pavilion, an incredible modernist gallery that sits on the sea front at Bexhill on Sea. We are seeking submissions from artists working with live art, performance and intervention only.
Using the line of the horizon at Bexhill as a starting/end point, we invite you to journey to the end of your imagination… and fall off the edge. What tales, objects and ephemera would you bring back…
Works should explore the uncanny, the unexplained, parallel places and belief…
