Inspired by the current Richard Grayson exhibition, R.V.C.C artists were asked to use the line of the horizon at Bexhill as a starting/end point, and travel to the very ends of their imaginations to fall off the edge. The collected tales inspired by the uncanny, infinite possibilities, parallel places… and most importantly belief, will be played out using live art, intervention, installation, audio and film, serenaded by DJ Sy Hackney with music from The Teeth.
Maria Bartolo, Rebecca Birch, Cack-U-Like, Amanda Castro & The Jeremis Iron Art Collective, Jack Catling, Brian Dawn Chalkley, Camila Fiori, Fordvogeltechnik Research Laboratory, Folie a Trois, Genetic Moo, Ruby Glaskin & Alice Gale Feeny, Sarah Grainger-Jones, Poppy Jackson, Adi Lerer, Simon Raven, Nicola Singh, Lili Spain, ThickandTastyxxx, Nicola Woodham & Robin Bale.
Expect work that is playful, macabre, surreal, ridiculous, absurd, beautiful, un-nerving, misaligned and unusual, which will create a theatrical evening that immerses the viewer in an interactive experience. Be beguiled by horse headed hitchhikers, candy floss wrestling, tales of arctic butterflies, seaside whisperings (Bring an umbrella to join in) and submerged songs. Tap into broadcasts from far-flung places and communicate with wagtails on the other side…
Curated by Lili Spain & Sarah Grainger Jones, with the kind support of our event manager Santiago Genochio.
